Ahhh! The 2nd annual Westfield CaribStyle Week is almost here. Can you feel the magic? If you have the coin, Ft. Lauderdale’s premiere fashion event is well worth attending. And if you don’t have the funds, at least follow the social media pages and marvel at the beautiful people wearing even more beautiful clothes.
Albert Tucker, Vice President of Multicultural Business Development at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitor Bureau, says the purpose of the event is to highlight top- notch local talent behind the sunny backdrop of. Ft. Lauderdale.
“As one of the most diverse multi-ethnic urban areas in the country, second only to Queens, NY, Greater Fort Lauderdale is thrilled to host the annual Caribbean Style Week this year,” said Tucker. “Our Caribbean heritage knows no bounds - from our rich history to our vibrant food, fashion and music offerings, Greater Fort Lauderdale overflows with endless Caribbean culture.”
Naturally, attendees can expect an all-star lineup of designers and models to color fashion-forward events such as the ‘Carnival Rocks the Runway’ and the ‘Fresh Emerging Designers Showcase.’ Shoppers will be delighted at the ‘Carib Style Beauty Bar’ and the ‘CaribStyle Popup Shop’ while foodies will have their share of Caribbean-styled feasts with fusion events like ‘Bikinis & Brunch.’
We look forward to this year's event and to welcoming those in search of the trendy Caribbean styles and patterns unique to the region and its top designers," said Asa Sealy, CEO of Aifos Agency, which is organizing Carib Style Week.
